The chambered body speaks to the bassist who knows the the parts he plays are vital to the musical whole. Allowing the articulation of melody while driving the bottom end.
Dixie Flyer has a bound chambered body with an optional F Hole. The pick-guard is handmade from brass, wood or wood covered in embossed leather.
The body is chambered, contoured on the back and bound on top.
You can see the evolution of the body shape. The length of the body shortened to decrease the weight and allow it to fit in a standard bass case.
It is hand stained or painted then shot with a Nitro finish. The Dixie Flyer is a full scale 34" bass with two pickups. The Flyer Jr is a short scale bass with a similar distinctive look, 30" scale and one pickup.
We have produced 8 String Octave and Fretless basses. The advantage of ordering your bass is we can make it any way you desire.
